Aberlour or to give it its full name, Charleston of Aberlour is situated 12 miles (20km) South of Elgin on the road to Granton (A95).
Heading North on the A9 turn right onto the A95 at Avimore turn left at the crossroads signposted for Elgin. Follow the A95 for around 45mins until you come down the hill into Aberlour.
From the A96 at Keith take a left onto the A95 at the corner, on the Elgin side of Keith. Follow the road until the crossroads at Mulben, take a left (still on the A95) marked for Craiggellachie. You will pass through the village of Maggieknockater. When you pass through Craigellachie turn left onto the A95 for two miles until you reach Aberlour.
From Inverness you have a couple of options. The first option is on more minor roads but probably a quicker journey. Travel South on the A9 from Inverness then turn left onto the A938 before Carrbridge. Pass through the villages’ of Carrbridge, Duthill and Dulnain Bridge before turning left onto the A95. Follow the A95 for approximately 35mins until you come down the hill into Aberlour. Option 2 from Inverness following the more major roads would be to follow the A96 to Elgin. Once at Elgin turn right onto the A941 Hay Street then onto Station Road. Turn right at the mini round about onto New Elgin Road (A941). Go straight over the next two roundabouts and follow the A941 to Rothes. Continue on the A941 to Craigellachie, once at Craigellachie continue onto the A95 for two miles until you reach Aberlour.
